in the summer of 2008 we tried to make an attempt on Brandywine Mnt with little knowledge of where we were headed. So we hoped into the jeep and headed up the logging road. We ran into a couple obstacles but we were able to get quite high into the valley

beautiful bluebird day we are headed into today.

us trying to move a fallen tree that was in our way, but alas the jeep couldn't budge it, oh well the real trail started just a little higher anyway...

you can see the dirt trail just in behind me

Brandywine is in the background and we are sure that we will not make it today (due to late start), so we will climb up the col and maybe go for Mt Fee...

but we didn't

crossing up and around some rocks, this was most enjoyable

"hey look, some more snow and rocks over there" steve says. "okay, but isn't it all around us?" cliff responds shaking his head. haha

the weather couldn't have been better, blue skies and zero wind.

we decided that since we were camping right below this rock pinnacle that we might as well climb it, it ended up being much steeper than we both thought

this was the start of the climb, and already it became quite steep, but we had smiles on our faces and lots of daylight to burn

hey we made it to the top

the rock making steve look good

me making the rock look good

I can't be sure but I don't remember us using crampons anytime during this trip, so one wrong step and....ooops
