another solo trip in the backcountry

sometimes your blessed with the weather gods, and man it makes it all worth while

my tracks down from blackcomb/spearhead col

following the herd up Decker Mtn, but they wouldn't stay long and soon I would be left alone

A look back to the start of the trip. 9/10 trips don't get this kinds weather, and just look at all the skiable terrain...what a day

a look forward into the sea of clouds that where hovering at about 7000'. It was beautiful to watch the clouds continuously roll throughout the valley

i would go up to the summit and ski off the left side down to camp for the night

A look back at some fresh tracks I just turned

digging out the tent hole, took a while and learned quite a lot about how big the hole should be.

camp for the night, starting to get chilly now...

i went up and did a second run down from the summit, and its pretty nice when all you can see is your 2 sets of tracks down a blank landscape with no one around for miles

my view for the next couple hours until daylight came around to warm things up

my route out for the day would start at the top right of the pic to the middle left and then over DOA ridge on Blackcomb Mtn
