we ended up getting a ride on the back tailgate of a old mazda truck from the gate all 8km to the trailhead start from a bunch of students working in the field that day, what luck we had, and what a fun way to get there

sunshine just starting to come out

early in the morning and sun is about to get us, beautiful views of the valley

you can see another group in the pic that we would be swapping lead with throughout the trip

a look up from the beginning of the scrambling, looks fun

steve near the edge of the world, you know he's the risk taker on the TBA team

some sections where about as wide as 1/2 your boot, but at least it got the heart pumping a little faster

a look down from one of the more exposed sections

good day to get a tan

but there's a reason we took the pic, too bad pictures never show the reality of the situation, we just knew not to slip and it would be alright

sometimes the shrubs helped as good handholds, only wonder what they where holding onto....

once we crossed the ridge (which turned into knife edge and increased the exposure) we found we where running into pockets of snow and ice on the path, making it a little slippery

looking good on the summit

looking almost as good as Cliff

a view of the South Twin Sister in the background, thats for another and day...

a view of the ridge of the south twin sister, its suppose to be a really good climb also and I plan to return and find out

this is a good look at the ridge we climbed and traversed along (on the dark side) from when we where on our way down, we took a more direct, although steeper, way down

pic of steve when we arrived back on mellower ground, time to relax

we ended up leaving before the fellows that gave us a lift in did, we rode on the back of that thing with the tailgate down, I'll never forget that ride

we left them a note to let them know we had left, and then about 5km of walking out later we ended up getting a lift out, steve on the back of a motorbike and me on the back of a ATV
