So on Aug 20 I decided to head solo to go out and climb Guanaco and Vicuna Peaks near the summit of the Coquihalla highway. It was a beautiful day, and after driving 7km on the dirt road, I began getting ready for the next 6km bike ride to the trailhead.

Guanaco is on the right and Vicuna is on the left

someone spent the time and cut these steps into the rock, which can be easily traversed around...but it makes it fun to get up

I have read many trip reports about this cable, some people trust it, while others don't. It comes at the crux of the route up Vicuna and was a welcome sight to me. I trusted it both on the way up and down without issues, but it got the nerves going

On the way down I checked the tightness of the anchor and was surprised that it was loose, so I hand tightened it and headed down.

it was a bit windy on the top of both peaks.
