on the way down to Mt Hood we heard of a storm coming in, but we had already taken the time off so we decided to make a go of it to see if we could somehow get around the weather, we were wrong and ended up just wasting our time. But all in all, the lodge at Timberline is very beautiful and has tons of historical information about it...

after sleeping in the mercedes for a couple hours waiting for the weather to improve, we had no choice but to get out there and see for ourselves what was going on

we would have taken the lift but the weather meant that the upper lifts weren't running, so it was time to get the legs a burnin

once we made it to the top of the lift the weather was pretty much a whiteout with visibility down to about 15 feet, but we kept trying to go up.

we finally had to give up and give in to the weather. Time to go down...and ski some pow

after a couple turns in some good snow the weather finally cleared enough for us to see the mountain. What a good looking mountain, and so close. The weather held only for a couple minutes and then went whiteout again. We had made our way just above the lift in this picture-in the area of white just above the lift

the snow was in really good condition and we both enjoyed the fresh lines we bagged

shorts in winter time, thats how you know your having a good time-and someone else is paying the heating bill

the lodge regularly gets covered by the large amounts of snow that fall in the area

we somehow ran across a laundry room and did some drying of our clothes, and we did it for free. I can't remember but I don't believe we broke any laws....its all about the stories...especially when the weather or trip isn't going according to plans
